Conductors and Occupational Therapists enable individuals living with neuromotor disabilities to learn (or re-learn) how to gain control of their motor functions to elicit as much active, quality movement control as possible while promoting overall health and minimizing the negative impacts of inactivity.
Every year, close to 100 families and their loved ones access our therapeutic programming. Classes are specifically designed and tailored to every client’s individual needs and goals, with a focus on group connection that enhances motivation and leads to meaningful and lasting relationships. The Movement Centre of Manitoba strives to adapt, include and welcome individuals of all ages who reach out for help because disability does not discriminate and can strike anyone, regardless of circumstances.

Individuals and families interested in Conductive Education are asked to fill out a detailed pre-assessment intake form which is used to guide our function driven assessment. The assessment will be completed by a Conductor.
We will reach out to you within one week of receiving your request to confirm that we have received your forms and provide you with details about the status of your application on our wait list.
We will require a physician’s release stating that the individual is cleared to participate in an intensive motor function therapy program prior to scheduling a Conductive Education Assessment.
